Blink WiFi Extender Compatibility and Setup

Blink cameras can use compatible third-party WiFi extenders. The right network name can depend on camera generation.

A Blink WiFi extender search often reflects a camera with weak signal near a door, garage or yard. Blink support says newer Blink Outdoor, Indoor second generation and Mini cameras can connect to an extender SSID ending in “_EXT”; original Indoor, XT and XT2 cameras need the extender SSID to match the main network. Before buying hardware, check signal strength in the Blink app and improve router or Sync Module placement where possible. A repeater should sit where it still receives a sound router connection. If the camera remains unreliable, follow Blink troubleshooting for its specific generation.
