Common questions

Questions before you buy

What are the warmest winter gloves for women?

Mittens such as Black Diamond Women's Mercury Mitts group fingers together and include a removable insulated liner. Their listed temperature range is manufacturer guidance, not a personal guarantee.

Which women's winter gloves work with a phone?

The REI listings identify touchscreen compatibility for Seirus Soundtouch Xtreme, Outdoor Research Flurry Sensor and REI Co-op Fleece Gloves. Compatibility can vary by device and fit.

Are women's fleece gloves waterproof?

Fleece alone does not establish waterproof protection. Select a glove explicitly listed as waterproof for wet conditions.

How should winter gloves fit?

Choose a fit that allows finger movement without excess material at the palm. Leave room for a liner only if the outer glove is designed to accommodate one.
