Lexus Integrated Dashcam: Features and Compatibility

Lexus uses the name for both an accessory camera and, on the latest interface, a built-in Drive Recorder. Vehicle compatibility matters more than the badge alone.

A Lexus integrated dashcam can mean a dealer accessory mounted near the windshield or the Drive Recorder built into the latest Lexus Interface. They are not interchangeable, and availability depends on model, year and equipment.

Common questions

Questions before you buy

Which Lexus models support the integrated dashcam?

Compatibility varies by model year and accessory part number. Use the official Lexus parts lookup or ask a dealer to check the vehicle identification number.

Does the Lexus integrated dashcam record while connected to Wi-Fi?

The accessory manual says recording stops while the dashcam is connected to a smartphone over Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi must be turned off on the camera to resume capture.

Is Lexus Drive Recorder the same as the accessory dashcam?

No. Drive Recorder is a newer built-in Lexus Interface feature using exterior vehicle cameras; the accessory is separate hardware with its own app.

Can Lexus dashcam footage be downloaded?

The accessory supports smartphone viewing, while Lexus says Drive Recorder clips can be copied to a USB flash drive. Follow the manual for your exact system.
