Google WiFi Extenders: Nest Points and Compatible Options

Google sells Wifi and Nest mesh devices that can add coverage as points within a compatible system. Google also says some universal third-party extenders may work with Google Wifi or Nest Wifi.

Some universal range extenders are compatible, depending on their client or bridge mode. Google warns that certain network features or device listings may behave differently through a third-party bridge.

Google states that Nest Wifi Pro cannot be combined in a mesh network with Nest Wifi routers or points, or Google Wifi points. Check the current compatibility guidance before adding hardware.

Choose a point if you want to expand a compatible Google mesh system; consider a universal repeater only after checking how it bridges that network and which features you rely on.
