Guide
Pair the extender while it is near the router, then relocate it only after setup confirms a working connection.

Choose a nearby socket for initial pairing and wait for the power indicator described in the manual. Avoid using a distant room during setup; a weak first link can make onboarding fail.
Use the maker app or browser setup for clear prompts. WPS can be quicker when both router and extender support it: press the router button, then follow the extender timing instructions.
If the setup screen lists separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, select the band or bands supported by the extender. Enter the router Wi-Fi password carefully; this is not necessarily the admin password printed for the router interface.
Let the extender apply its settings and check the status light or app for a successful router link. If setup reports a weak signal, stay close and resolve pairing before trying another socket.
Unplug the unit and place it between the router and the room that needs better reception. Keep it within reliable router range and away from enclosed cabinets or large metal objects.
Common questions
Use the manufacturer app or browser setup page, join the extender’s temporary network if prompted, then choose your home Wi-Fi and enter its password.
Follow the model’s setup guidance and choose the band that suits reach and capacity. Some extenders can connect to both bands; others have different limitations.
Check that the extender has powered on and that your phone is connected to its temporary setup network if the app requests it. Restart the setup flow if discovery still fails.
Usually a standard Wi-Fi extender can join a compatible router regardless of broadband provider. Provider mesh features may require matching equipment.
