Ice packs can be an accessory for some evaporative coolers, but humidity and airflow still shape the result.

An air cooler with ice pack is usually an evaporative appliance that moves air across water or a damp pad; the pack is an added feature on selected models. It does not turn the unit into a refrigerated air conditioner, and it cannot remove evaporation’s dependence on humidity. Compare the manufacturer’s instructions, tank capacity, replacement pack availability, cleaning needs and room guidance. In humid conditions, the cooling effect may remain limited even with frozen packs.
