WiFi Extenders for Google Home and Nest WiFi

No. Google Home is an app and smart-home platform; it does not rebroadcast Wi-Fi. Google Nest Wifi and Google Wifi are separate network hardware products.

Google notes that wireless extenders or mesh devices used to extend an existing Nest Wifi or Google Wifi network may not work as expected. Check Google’s support guidance for your network before adding one.

A Google Home device can connect to a compatible Wi-Fi network, but it does not control every third-party extender. Setup and roaming depend on the extender and router configuration.

A compatible Nest Wifi point is designed to join its mesh system, while a generic extender repeats another router’s signal. Confirm which Nest generation you own and whether the add-on is supported.
