Dash Cam Fittings for a Safe, Tidy Installation

The correct fitting is model- and vehicle-specific. Start with the supplied mount and power lead, then add only approved parts needed for your installation.

Dash cam fittings include the windscreen mount, adhesive pad or suction cup, power cable, hardwire kit, fuse taps and clips used to secure the lead. Compatibility is not universal: a mount can look identical but use a different connector, and a hardwire kit can supply the wrong plug or control logic.

Common questions

Questions before you buy

What fittings do I need for a dash cam?

Most plug-in installations need the correct mount, power lead and cable clips. Parking mode may also require a compatible hardwire kit and vehicle-specific fuse arrangement.

Are dash cam hardwire kits universal?

No. Connector, voltage conversion and parking-mode signalling can vary. Match the kit to the camera and confirm suitability for the vehicle.

Can dash cam cable go behind the headlining?

It can be tucked along an approved route, but must not interfere with curtain airbags or damage trim. Use a professional installer when the airbag path is unclear.

Can I reuse an old dash cam mount?

Only if the manufacturer confirms mechanical and electrical compatibility. Replace worn adhesive pads with the specified part and inspect the joint before driving.
